Yamaha EMF

The Yamaha EMF is an Elektrisk Scooter from the famous Japanese brand Yamaha. Yamaha is one of the largest manufacturers of motorcycles in the world.

The EMF is created in a partnership with the Taiwanese e-scooter startup Gogoro and the scooter shares the swap-able batteries of Gogoro scooters. In contrast with Yamaha EC-05 that is based on a Gogoro scooter platform, the chassis of the EMF is newly designed and developed by Yamaha.

The scooter has a 7.600 watt mid-mounted liquid-cooled permanent magnet electric motor. The scooter has a top speed of 100 km/t and accelerates from 0 til 50 km/t på 3,5 sekunder.

The scooter has two removable Gogoro-compatible Lithium batteries. The batteries can be swapped at existing Gogoro GoStation battery-swap facilities and Gogoro provides a home-charger named GoCharger.

The dashboard is similar to that of Gogoro scooters. The scooter has a wireless RFID key, NFC-enabled smart key and connects to a smart phone for access to scooter apps.

The scooter has a storage compartment and cup holder with USB charge ports between the riders feet.

The scooter has four piston hydraulic disc brakes with a Combined Braking System (CBS).

The scooter is available in three colors: Dark Black, Dark Green and Light Blue.
