BMW CE 02 L3e (motorcykel)
The CE 02 L3e is an electric light motorcycle from well-known automotive brand
BMW from Germany. The motorcycle is manufactured in cooperation with TVS Motor, one of the biggest motorcycle manufacturers in 🇮🇳 India.
BMW was founded in 1916 and produced its first electric car in 1972, the 1602e. In 1991 the company produced the E1 electric car and in 2009 the company introduced its first electric scooter, the C1-E.
The CE 02 L3e has a powerful 11.000 watt electric motor that provides a top speed of 95 km/t. The motor provides 55 Nm torque for an acceleration of 0 til 48,3 km/t på 3 sekunder.
The motorcycle provides two slots for easy to swap air-cooled lithium batteries that provide a driving range of more than 90 km (according to WMTC). The batteries can be charged to 80% in 85 minutter using a fast charger. The batteries can also be charged using a regular wall outlet.
The motorcycle has advanced BMW Motorrad ABS disc brakes and Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) or regenerative braking in which energy from braking is returned to the battery.
The chassis of the motorcycle consists of a torsionally rigid double-loop frame made of tubular steel. The motorcycle has hydraulically damped telescopic forks operate at the front and a single-sided swingarm and a directly pivoted shock absorber at the rear. The wide-tyre wheels on light alloy wheels are specially designed for optimal and safe braking performance.
As would be expected from a top of the market automotive brand like BMW, the motorcycle contains the most advanced technologies for safety and driving performance. Besides advanced ABS brakes, the motorcycle is further equipped with ASC (Automatic Stability Control) and RSC (Recuperative Stability Control).
The motorcycle is equipped with state of the art features including reverse assistant, keyless start and an advanced anti-theft system.
The motorcycle has an easy-to-read TFT digital dashboard that connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth or USB-C. A cradle-mode in the app enables to use the phone as a second dashboard display and the motorcycle has a special connector for a professional GPS navigation system.
The motorcycle is standard equipped with two driving modes and a special eco mode. An optional Flash driving mode provides the motorcycle with increased speed and acceleration performance (available as an original BMW Motorrad accessory).
The motorcycle provides comfortable seating space for two passengers.
The motorcycle has many official accessoires including a wide range of top cases, side cases and storage solutions, alarm and security systems, heated grips, windscreens, luggage racks, a wide range of comfortable seating options, design personalization options and much more.
